At long last, we’re getting closer to summer here in the Southern hemisphere! It’s starting to warm up, we’re all coming out of hibernation, and layers of clothing are disappearing fast.
Of course, summer is one of the busiest times of the year for most of us. The holiday season brings more fun and activity, but also more planning and stress. We all want to be in top form but it can be hard to find time to look after ourselves.
We posted a few months ago about looking your best over summer with a focus on feeling good and finding confidence (check it out here). Today we’re going to expand on that a little more by focusing on some of our favorite summer products. We’ve given our honest recommendations to save you time and effort and help you slay this summer.
Okay, so this is a must-have. I first found this product on a layover in Fiji while flying to LA, and it’s been my go-to ever since. My favorite is Star Fruit. It smells like passionfruit and it is truly heavenly. If I could eat it I probably would. It’s made from coconut milk, so it’s nourishing and gentle, ideal for sensitive skin.
Estee Lauder – Double wear stay in place foundation
It’s nice to feel photo-ready for your best summer moments, but nobody wants the pressure of re-applying and maintaining makeup. And when you’re hitting the beach or pool, you don’t want to emerge looking like a melted wax figure. Don’t worry, this foundation is a godsend. If I can dive the oceans of Bali and still come up flawless, you can too!
As a sucker for getting bronzed and golden, it’s safe to say I’ve tried a few brands of fake tan. But Bondi Sands is my firm favorite. I’ve tried most of their products, but found the liquid gold tanning oil the best; put it on in the morning, get dressed, and by the evening you look like you’ve just come back from a tropical island. It’s perfect for last-minute plans. Although I sometimes put it on before bed and can relax knowing I'm not sharing my tan with the bedsheets...
